Welcome to the sexy, crazy, wildly unpredictable world of modern matchmaking, where fixing up strangers is part of the job—but falling in love is an occupational hazard… He's The Perfect Catch. Blake Donovan is tall, handsome, rich, and successful—so why would a guy like him need a matchmaker? Andrea Dawson has no idea, but a job is a job. After being blackballed from a career in marketing, Andrea agreed to use her unique profiling skills to play matchmaker out of pure desperation. But when she meets her highly eligible—and particular—first client face to face, she wonders what she’s gotten herself into… Is She His Perfect Match? Blake knows exactly the kind of woman he’s looking for—and it’s the total opposite of Andrea. Though smart and undeniably sexy, she is simply too headstrong for a man who’s used to being in charge. Still, Blake’s blood pressure rises whenever she’s near him. How can he explain the smoldering attraction that sizzles between them? And how can Andrea deny she’s feeling it, too? Maybe, just maybe, they’ve finally met their match…
Review
I was sad to say I was expecting a cute romance when I chose to read this book.Although exhilarating and exciting at first the novel started to adopt an erotic tone which I really don't like reading, The details were quite explicit and I had to skip pages and I'm not too sure what the normal erotic novels are like but I am surprised this isn't included in that genre.
The story line was cute and I was expecting a sweet romance but as the story progressed further it became quite cheesy and unrealistic which probably was to introduce the action.
I did however like Andrea's strong-willed character and how she was fighting for the control she is normally accustomed to. I did like that the author gave the story from two point of views so you did get an insight into what Blake was really like as otherwise as I think I would've put it straight down because of his arrogance!
I do think romance fiction lovers who enjoy erotic novels will love this but I'm afraid to say it's not my cup of tea. It's not a terribly written novel except for some uncanny similarities with a few other more famous novels but overall I think they would enjoy it.
Maybe the fiction was a little too old for me...I'm normally into young adult romance novels probably why I didn't enjoy it as much.
All opinions aside, I do feel readers of this genre will love it all the same.
Note: I received a review copy of the book from St Martin's Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
